Trying To Organize The World, One House At A Time…

Things haven’t been going well lately. Unemployment sucks. So much so that I haven’t even wanted to write. And that is unusual. But today something happened that caught my attention. There’s a train of thought, even in the Bible, that if a person has desire for a certain goal or thing, and concentrates on and visualizes it, then by some law of attraction, it will come to be. Meaning the goal is attained.

I never even considered it until today.

I had been brainstorming on something flexible I could do while Dylan waits for and then recovers from surgery… just trying to make some extra money. I immediately thought of cleaning a couple of houses or offices, even hoping I could find bigger projects, like a trashed rec room to revive.

So I took my son for a haircut. Somehow, after talking with the owner, I walked out without paying and hired to to completely “de-clutter” and reorganize her mother’s entire house! She is an older lady who lives alone, and she needs everything where she can reach it. Nice to know I’ll be helping someone out.

I am really excited, although I know it will be hard work, and I have to find some boxes asap. I’ll be getting some pics too, so I can record my back breaking work. One day maybe I’ll have enough pics to get a business loan. Professional organizer, anyone? Would I call it Obsessive Compulsive Cleaning Service?

The moral of my story I guess is: believe in yourself. Or as quoted in one of cinema’s great classics “see the ball, be the ball.”
